Eleanor packed her remaining designer bags and left Arthur, moving into her sister's guest room in Florida. She blamed Arthur for losing the company and blamed Julian for losing the only woman who could afford to keep them rich.

Julian, unable to handle the public scrutiny and the loss of his trust fund, spiraled. He blamed his father for constantly provoking me at the gala. The two men got into a screaming match in the lobby of a cheap motel, resulting in the police being called and Arthur being cited for disturbing the peace.
They had spent their entire lives looking down on "ordinary people," and now, they couldn't even afford to live like them. They had no survival skills, no work ethic, and no friends left to bail them out.
