Leah answered, “You trusted wealthy trustees with ownership but not the workers who paid for it.”

Victoria, Charles, Ethan, Margaret and Marcus were placed under independent review for their separate roles. No confession erased coercion, negligence or theft.
Residents elected their own board, froze redevelopment and restored housing protections.
The diamond from the brake was displayed beside the payroll ledger.
A plaque read:
“THEY CALLED IT CHARITY SO THE OWNERS WOULD NEVER ASK FOR KEYS.”
At the first board meeting, Leah opened the damaged Whitmore deed.
Inside was a photograph of twelve children standing before the Harrington apartments.
One child was Leah.
